That win would be sweet when you remember what Tomic senior said about Dan Evans about five years ago.

Yeah, I read the BBC article. He said that Dan wasn't good enough to train with his son.

I never thought Murray had a chance at the Aussie open so as soon as Novak Djokovic was knocked out I lumped on Stan Wawrinka.

Probably, the top two Djokovic and Murray worked so hard through their twenties to reach the level of Federer and then nudge past him.

Eventually that focus and desire burns slightly less and life presents other priorities.

Do you remember when John Richards got married, at that time people said he would never be the same again.

Murray didn't possibly play as well in France as previously, but you can never fault his will to try and win

in truth he was battered in that final set, Murray just couldn't find a winner against Stan.

Stan would have beaten anyone in that final set, the most 1 sided set i have ever seen, Murray should have won that match 2/3 of the way through the 4th set, had he broke serve in the 7th game (maybe 8th) when he was on break point and looking like a winner then that 5th set would never have happened.

Credit to Stan though, great Tennis. Unfortunately he was never going to beat Nadal on the clay in the final.

A fabulous win for Andy versus Fognini. Losing 2-5 in the fourth and looking dead on his feet Murray once again finds a champion's will to win. Despite having at least six set points against him Andy performs a minor miracle to win in the fourth 7-5. Heartstopping stuff. The crowd were wonderful and were right behind him. Come on son. Keep going.

I think Murray's big days are almost over..but what a player, and fighter with an unbelievable will to win.

Great match, great victory, at time Fognini had the touch of Ilie Nastase and the characteristics I might add.

The thing is, you could argue that about any of the big-4. If all four of them drop down a couple of levels, then there's still the opportunity for Murray to nick a couple more slams

All four are capable of wonderful performances. All four are capable of throwing in the odd below par match as well. A little bit off form on grass against another top performer and you can be off home.

I think Given that Federer is 35 there are still a few years yet for Andy to add to his tally.

at this championship though Feds is in Scintilating form, backhanded Zverev all over the court.

Andys problem at the moment is he seems to be allowing his opponent to dictate the point, a better player than Fognini would have beaten Andy on Friday
