With the demise of UKIP the super rich elite require something else to split the Labour vote.

Nothing to do with any "super rich elite"..just a need to have an alternative, credible choice to Labour and Tories, the century long class war that hides itself inside politics needs to be stopped. Hard to achieve as both SDP and Lib Dems faded away gradually over time.

Coming at a time when Labour people like myself feel we are getting our party back after half a century of Tory infiltration.

Offering a clear choice at last for the British voter.

The kind of policies now proposed by Labour in 2018 were those proposed by Wilson in 1964. Many with roots in 1945.

During the intervening years Labour became Tory lite establishment politicians, not putting the people first.
Frightened that the media influence would make them unelectable because they smear and character assassinate them at every turn.

We have our party back.

There’s a great deal wrong with Britain. We need radical change.

just as the Attlee government brought about after 1945.

Not only economic and social change but a change in attitudes.

We need to ditch Thatcherite selfish individualism and bring back Attlee’s decency and community.

I think you'd have to ban smart phones for under 21's and bring back conscription to achieve that.

No one believes Jezza believes, Jezza, Miss Dianne, and Old MacDonald represents the Labour Party. Well, no one outside Momentum and Jezza

Labour lost prematurely the best leader they may have had, John Smith. Then to be replaced by the sneering, grinning Blair creature, a tragedy.

Followed by Ed "made of stone". Truly tragic, until now, when horrifying is a better adjective.

Absolute tragedy - agreed. We will never know but I think the country would have been much better from 1997 with John Smith in charge.

Yet we are still seeing the fruits of a very good home policy in things like Schools and Hospitals, a good legacy from the Blair years.

Currently falling apart now due to the present governments underfunding.

As is the Police force and Fire fighters.

I was working for the NHS during the whole of the Blair years and, trust me, your bog standard acute general hospital did not see any of these mythical benefits. The Tories have definitely made things worse but the problems were well on their way under Mr Blair whatever you like to pretend.

Multi-millionaire Jeremy Hunt just admitted breaching anti money laundering laws, brought in by the Tories, when he set up a company to buy 7 luxury flats.
He should've declared his stake within 14 days, or face up to 2 years in prison. He left it 6 months, but it's OK, he said sorry.

Pretty bleak, but accurate, view of modern Britain by the NYT. This is how the world see us now.

Christopher Chape a tosser above many of the other tossers within that party.

What a collection they are.

Christopher Chope, a Barrister and the Conservative MP for Christchurch, has proposed a private bill that would make provision for co-funding, and to extend the use of ‘co-payment’ – charges – throughout the National Health Service (NHS); and for “connected purposes.”

Though there are already some charges for health services such dental treatments, eye tests and prescriptions already, experts have warned that if the bill gains assent, it would open the floodgates to charging for a range of other services including GPs appointments and minor operations.

Don't panic Knocker, it's a private members bill and it only needs one MP to object for it to fail. Ask Chope about that, the bastard.

Extra NHS cash is a big deal.

No it’s not a Brexit dividend but ignoring that rhetoric, it is a return to real terms NHS spending increases just short of historic averages (3.4%).

Not enough to radically improve services but hopefully enough to stop the decline.

The Tory Party is of course deeply split between three factions, bastards driven by a ruthless ideology, bastards driven purely by personal gain, and bastards driven by both.

Does it not worry you that the Labour Party of 2018's solution to the new challenges of the 21st century is to recycle policies from more than half a century ago?

I believe the last regime to try and turn the clock back was Pol Pot. It didn't end well.

What about my eight track?

Anyway, I can't wait for the re-opening of the mines by taking around a million off the unemployment register to work in them, the reintroduction of rationing which was so good for us, a system of selection to secondary education at age 11 - maybe an exam called the 11 plus, free cradle to grave social and health care whatever the cost, and best of all, a return to British Rail sandwiches and timings.

Don't forget the return to a country run by the Unions. Strike after strike after strike. Still, not to worry. Plus, if we are really lucky, a Labour govt run by a half-baked Marxist and terrorist sympathiser with a knob of a chancellor who bases his economics on Chairman Mao's little red book. Then there's Carol Vorderman's nemesis Diane Abbott and the white van man's biggest fan, the super slob and super snob and Slimming World's pin up, Lady Pork Pie Nugee.

And don't forget a run on the pound. The last one to leave please switch off the lights.

Yep.

Stated policy to completely deregulate and unshackle the Unions. Back to wildcat strikes and call outs with no support from the workers, just called because their political masters want to make a point.

Small companies destroyed. Large companies with globalisation, upstake and leave the country. Welcome to the wonderful world of new labour

The sad part is if you have lived or live in a right wing bubble you actually believe some of that rubbish.

The truth and reality often failed the English voter of previous generations.

Thank god the younger generations can seek the truth from various new forms of media.

John Cleese he of Falty Towers got it right this week, no wonder he is leaving the UK.
