It's a toss between war, hunger or Tony Blair. On reflection, Blair.

Tricky! In my limited experience, it seems that EVERY culture of humans ALWAYS seems to invoke some sort of belief system of gods, spirits or whatever. It seems Man cannot survive without believing there must be some purpose or 'greater force' driving the universe.

All moral codes and legal systems seem then to be based around these beliefs.

Without ANY religion, do we simply end up with complete unregulated anarchy??

The need for religion is over in the West.

It was an effective tool of uniting people in nation building and in motivating (through fear and promises) people to spend almost every waking moment working in foul conditions for seemingly no reward except surviving the day while nations were built up.

In the modern West, the promises are - at least in theory - provided by functioning capitalism so deeply engrained in our lives and the improvements in conditions (better health, established working hours, the ability to purchase goods and property, methods to save for the future). The borders, sense of an established national identity and fundamental infrastructure of the West have all been long established.

Where these conditions fail in the West, it is not religion but social disenfranchment which flourishes.

Albeit agnostic, being a police person of one type or another for 36 years, I have seen the positives of religion in times of great sadness and despair. It's not all about control, some people take great solice in their beliefs. Not everyone is strong enough for this world on their own.

Agreed. All those who do things like promise students free education when they have no intention or capacity to make good on their promises, should be done away with.

Why does the UK media allow it's Prime Minister to openly bribe people?

First a A sweetener to Nissan, then a Council in Surrey, Then £billion to the DUP
and now a knighthood to induce a Tory MP to vote for her bill

And that's only what we know about..

Your looking in the wrong direction, the UK Government is far more corrupt.

Once you understand Tories only enter politics with a whats in it for me mentality it all starts falling into place.

With Climate Change.

Will the human race evolve quickly enough in its intelligent state to save the planet.

Or will it remain stupid enough to lose that race.

America is in a runaway-train position and dragging all the world with it. It's grotesquely mentally ill. Joni Mitchell

Rid the world of American influence.

How on earth do we achieve that, particularly given their underlying Jewish influence? One thing is for sure, there needs to be a grassy knoll with Trump's name on it.
