Having served in the Jolly province (as was) in 83/4, I am most impressed with the speed and prowess the PSNI have shown tin arresting the two shooters of the LGBTQ Journalist .

I was alongside The Green Jackets and the QOH in my time, off the top of my head, the RGJ lost seven men, not so many for the QOH. I'm sure the families of those fallen are as impressed as I am with the skill of the police in bringing these murderers to justice. However, I imagine, they must be wondering if, and when, those same skills will be brought to bare to help them seek justice for their destroyed families ? 24 hours for a journalist, 37 years and counting, for the poor soldiers.

Can't wait for immunities to be brought into the narrative, it was Good Friday after all. Bad news for the lads though, Immunity seems to have a correlation with marksmanship. As they missed the police they were probably aiming at, they may well have to have their day in court, or at least be ordered to join a rifle-range so they can get it right next time.

I was talking to an ex marine recently, he did five tours, he spoke about snipers in their ranks who were called upon when notorious Republicans came into view.

He remembers one day when a turn of the head saved a big fish but sorted out his second in command.

I guess that was put down as a win win situation.
