The Cup and Premier league comes to town as we welcome Swansea.
The good news is they play like Brentford, without the talent.
Interesting selections from both teams for what should be an enjoyable encounter.
Forecast. Wolves 4-1.

I expect Nuno to make quite a few changes for this one, but we have strong back-up these days, as shown at Man City, and those on the bench should be chomping at the bit. I thought Bonatini looked up for it against Brentford, perhaps spurred on by another striker or two joining the club this month.
Will Swansea be UP for this one, and a visit to the Wild West-Midlands? In boxing parlance, they're on the ropes, and Wolves are cock-a-hoop, so 3-0 to our boys.

I expect both sides to make a good amount of changes as the cup is very much second fiddle to both team's league campaigns.
Very hard to call it, but please no replay, get it done one way or another.

Expect a competitive game between two reserve sides, which I take us to win convincingly. I assume Ronon and Deslandes will not be used if going on loan. A side something like:
Norris Miranda Coady Hause Marshall N'diane MGW Vinaigre Costa Enobakhare Wilson
Subs Price, Herc & a host off U23s
(Is there a decent defender worth a go, with Hause playing Coady role?)

If we are to get promoted to the Premier league in 2018 then this is the sort of team we have to be able to beat. A cup game is hard to compare to a league game but we should at least take the game to them. Despite their poor league performance they are likely a good side and might not be pushovers. I always predict we will lose so I won’t say anything about it other than this will be a useful run out for some of the second string and see how well our style of play can work against Premier league opposition. I am encouraged by the fact that we held Manchester City, so I hope that we will beat them. A cup run will be exciting, but we want to get out of this league first and foremost. So I am okay with the second string playing this one out.

Here's a putt at the line-up for Saturday. Norris Bennett, Coady, Hause Doherty, N'Diaye, Price, Vinagre Costa, Enobakhare, Gibbs-White Subs. Ruddy, Boly, Douglas, Saiss, Jota, Cav, Wilson. Miranda's being kept from public view. Would think Neves, and maybe Bonatini and/or Jota will be completely rested. Douglas may also be rested as he has recently suffered injury but it depends on what defensive cover we have. Batth's suspended as I think Herc is too. Marshall may be a surprise inclusion. Wouldn't think Mason will be involved. Ronan and Deslandes are off to Portsmouth on loan. Could Mir be involved or is it too soon after his move? Seedorf? Cameron John? I would imagine there will be a surprise somewhere.

Want to see at least 9 changes from the first team. Be nige to see MGW have a run out after his youngster world cup exploits.

I think Bonatini will play, and can see Doherty playing as well, as much as I'd like them both to have a rest

Good early pressure. Should already be ahead tbh.

3 game ban. At least not for one of our main starters.

Unfortunate but necessary substitution. I`ll take a 1-0 with our set-piece maestro on now.

Tim Spiers on Twitter said that he thought the RED was harsh and that a Yellow would have been more on the cards (or words similar). Then Doherty got upended and the Ref gave now't and TS posted, ''somebody please restrain NUNO''. We need CAV to come on (thinking he is on the Bench) and open this up again like he did at Brizzle. I predicted a 1-1 and would settle for that and do them big time in the replay.

Red card for Swansea - Leroy Fer checks Costa as he tries to break away.
