Root and latterly Stokes have the right stuff when a bit of trench warfare is called for, the others.....

Sometimes in sports, it's not the loss but the way that you lose a game. Against Pakistan, Sri Lanka and now Australia, we have been woeful and lacking spirit, patience and nous. Great individual players on their day but never ever a TEAM.

What a great result for England.. But what a strange game, were India bothered? Or did they just want make it more difficult for Pakistan to qualify?

it was strange how India seemed to "not be too bothered" by trying to have a go and win the game after Kohli and Sharma had got out or at least get nearer their target. Did we bowl that well or did they just go through the motions and try to fark up Pakistan..?? Most weird.

We certainly struggle chasing a total. There is too much hype surrounding team, talented but no brains

Good bowling from Rsshid and Archer..5 for 86, from them. But Smith is showing his class. England's to lose..let's get them out for 200

England cocking it up again on a slightly difficult pitch. They don't know how to adapt when they can't flat track bully their way to 300+. Let's hope Buttler and Stokes, 2 of our best, can sort it out.

Bloody hell. They only went and did it. Mainly because Stokes and Buttler played more sensibly for 10-15 overs to get us in range. The top 4 all threw their wickets away when it wasn't necessary.
Given that they have now won their last 4 matches against the other top 3 ranked teams (India, Australia, New Zealand twice) and all of them were must wins I think we can put to bed the idea they are bottlers who can't handle the pressure.
